About Us
Vanessa Rose has worked with children for the past ten years in many different settings from touring theatre around the world to teaching English as a Foreign Language.
She has a HUGE passion for children’s theatre and helping others.
Vanessa has experience working as a Teaching Assistant, SEN support, Cover Supervisor and general support in Primary schools around the North West of England. She has worked with every year group and spent time learning the National Curriculum so that she can create workshops that will be effective for kinaesthetic learning. Her experience in the above roles has helped her to personally get to know the students and teachers and understand their needs. She wants the children to enjoy the workshops. However, she also wants them to learn something more about the topic they’re studying by physically exploring it.
She has an enhanced DBS check, a Bachelor’s Degree in European Theatre Arts and a CELTA qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
“I absolutely LOVE my job and I wouldn’t change it for the world!”
It’s important for us that students enjoy themselves while learning. We will come in to help students use knowledge that they have learnt in the classroom as an inspiration to be creative in the workshops. They will create characters, devise their own scenes or bring the theme to life by physically exploring it.

The Global pandemic has affected all of us. Especially, children who have been confined to their
household and not being able to see their friends or family members. Some children may feel
anxious about being back at school, they may feel socially awkward. Stardust Stories provides drama
classes to encourage children to become more confident, socialise with one another, have fun, be
silly and come out of every class with a sense of freedom and achievement. They will feel a lot
lighter after releasing negative energy. We want the children to believe in themselves and recognise
that they are fine to just be themselves.
Obviously government guidelines will be followed and we will use social distancing to our advantage.

Who we are & what we offer
Stardust stories is a storytelling and entertainments company for children. We aim to bring stories to life through performance and play, specifically focusing on characters and themes. We lead performance workshops which include interactive games, movement and song. Our aim is to develop confidence, social skills and imagination. We take the subject out of the classroom setting and get the children to think in a more creative way about the topic. We want the students to actively use their imagination and engage with the topic to create their own characters with back stories.
After School Drama Classes – Be who you want to be NOT who society expects you to be
Stardust Stories provides a safe space to encourage children to be as free, expressive and creative as they want to be with no judgement from the outside world! Often children don’t get to express themselves completely in a classroom setting therefore they have the freedom to do so in our classes. They can be a unicorn, a leprechaun, half unicorn half leprechaun; it doesn’t matter because there is no right or wrong way to be creative!
The most important element of the classes is to use your imagination and think outside of the box. Nothing is taken too seriously, it’s just a chance for students to have fun, become more confident and develop social skills.
The drama classes will be jam-packed full of high energy and fun drama games, improvisation, storytelling, script writing, puppetry and physical theatre. It’s a chance for students to learn in a more physical way.

Educational Workshops
Stardust Stories offer workshops related to the KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum exploring topics and themes that students are learning about in their lessons.
We recreate historical events and take students on a journey through time using props, costumes and most importantly their imagination. They will get to experience how it was to live in that era by physically recreating each moment in time.
We explore themes such as The Great Fire of London, The Plague, The Environment, Traditional Tales, Florence Nightingale, The Titanic, Around the World, Road Safety and many more upon request.
Every workshop varies therefore it’s best to contact us and we can give you more information.
